1.不限空間容量
2.有CDP 功能 (此CDP 為自動快照 可自行設定時間)
3.可快照
4.thin provisioning(注意這沒壓縮功能 只是用多少才會佔多少)
5.Deduplication
Starwind 做ISCSI Storage Server 除了一般 HA ,虛擬化的 Cluster Storage 應用外.
也非常適合 Data recovery 跟 digital forensics.
主要是因為Starwind不同於別套 ISCSI Target軟體
可 Disk Raw image轉換成為Lun 虛擬硬碟 或是 轉換成為Lun 虛擬硬碟為Disk Raw image
可用於方便 多重快照 多台共享 高速分析
其他非Windows 類ISCSI Target 軟體無法做上述轉換
付費版本功能主要強於在HA, Automatic Failover ,Replication

Starwind 分為IBV 跟 DD Diskimage 二種磁碟檔案結構
一.DD image ,會佔有全部空間. 但是用於某些既有data 轉換成iscsi lun方便
二.IBV 為自有壓縮檔,可實現thin provisioning.
因此設定方法會比較複雜
